Grand Banks Casino review

Recommended

The sherpa had a great time playing Grand Banks Casino. Unfortunately, it took almost a month from my cashout request to actually get the funds back into my account. I don't care what the problem is, anything more than 10 business days is completely unacceptable.

The Basics

The Games

It's a real shame that I can't give Grand Banks Casino the thumbs up, because I really enjoyed their games. The server was responsive and the games had a lot of variety. Grand Banks lines up their games on the right hand side and groups them according to type. So you have your card games with BJ, Pai Gow, War, Three Card Poker, Caribbean Stud, and Let Em Ride; then you have your slots, progressive slots, video pokers, bonus games. All in all, a very clean interface and easily navigated.

The Blackjack minimum was $5 but the rules suffered from the same problem of all Playtech casinos, which is the dealer does not reveal blackjack until you have played your hand. As I've said before, this is just greedy.

There were 5 and 10 cent video poker games, which is really nice. Grand Banks also had nickel slots, which are a lot of fun if you're just playing slots for the hell of it.

Customer Service

The customer service at Grand Banks was really top notch. My live support requests were picked up quickly and they were able to answer my questions without any delay. Once in a while, they'd also "broadcast" a "hello" just to let you know they were there, should you need them. I thought this was a really nice touch.

The Withdrawal

Their site states that it takes 7 to 10 business days to approve the withdrawal and then a little more time depending on your method of withdrawal. Neteller, which is what I use, takes less than 24 hours. So at the outside, we're talking 11 days.

My withdrawal took 26 calendar days (17 business days). I'm not asking for instant funds or even next day funds but 26 days is way too much. I asked customer service and they told me that there was a backlog but that I should be receiving my funds "soon". Could you imagine trying to cash in your chips in Las Vegas and having to wait 26 days? OK, so online gambling means processing time so the casinos can make sure there's no fraud. I completely understand this. I am fairly patient and wait the minimum of what the casino states their withdrawal time will be before contacting them. My experience at Grand Banks Casino was unacceptable.

Final Thoughts

As I said before, it's a shame that I have to give Grand Banks the thumbs down because I really liked them. (Up until the withdrawal.) If they can sort out their cash-in delays, then I can recommend them. But for now, why deal with the aggravation of not knowing where you withdrawal is when you can go play another casino that uses the same software, such as Swiss Casino.
